And this is on todays cover page
How come the hawker got punished by the authorities but the restaurant doesnt get punished?
Is this classism?
Why the double standard ?
Because this is Singapore. We always say Malaysia truly asia right? We never say ourselves only.
i thought prices are only inflated by 20% in singapore...
im wrong apparently...
woow.. anyone crazy enough to buy that fish after seeing the price?
Eating it now

dinosuar fish
I hope RWS will close down soon. RWS is only for rich fuck foreign thrash and not for ordinary Singaporeans.Everything is so expensive over there which is so different from the old Sentosa.
Even high end hotels like shangry-la charge $10 for a can of Coke and $11 for a glass of juice. LOL!!!!
Everyone screwed up, period.....
Customer: for blindly ordering without asking how much it would cost....
Waiter: For not advising the customer on how much it would cost....
Restaurant: For claiming that the SOP is that price should not be told to the customer....
since it is not in the menu, the restaurant can basically charge any price they want. if the customer is very rich, then can charge the fish for 10k?
Pls you paid 1K to taste ...muddy dirt fish that fed on Pooh....how good can it be.

Perhaps a food voucher of equivalent value (worth about $1000 at least if usable only at the same said restaurant) would somewhat resolve the customer's dissatisfaction.
($1000 and not just $500 because it is a self-proclaimed restaurant for 'high-end' customers) and should thus be slightly more 'generous' in its offer, not forgetting its own admission of a "lapse in judgement". (voucher only valid for 1 visit of course and no refunds of unspent portion, valid for 2-3 yrs- so Mr Liu's n friends can maybe meet up yet again). Both FS@RWS and Mr Liu should then make a public statement to the effect of an amicable resolution of this impasse, a prompt and proper closure to this now public situation.
Ultimately a happy customer should be what every business strives to achieve. (except for the shady and dubious ones of course).
Just $1000 restaurant voucher for public publicity of resolution and an improved image, I hope FSI@RWS accepts my suggestion... since newsprints are now also obliged to follow up the case having already publicized it as 'large-print' if not headline news' in the first place- unless there's more to this story that I haven't read about...
