  i want to buy a new com, but wan to DIY... coz new sets too $$$..
  
  My budget around 200-250 max...
  
  Can anyone recommend a good com spec list for me to follow? Thanks....

  can get, but ur comp will be v miserable... suggest dat u go to yahoo auctions & see if anyone sellin their older sets... u might be able to get smethng, but be careful to check the condition of it...

  but to run normal office applications and play maybe a little game, what should be the system i should be looking at?

  wats the chip r they offerin u?? package sounds ok, but do note dat there's no moniter wif it... though u can get a cheap 2nd hand CRT moniter for less den $100...

  no chip no monitor quote here??? if u want $250 everything in .. then confirm can only get 2nd and older one lor

  yupe..DIY is good n way cheaper..but u must know how to..
  
  my CPU is DIY...
  
  but mointer..still using the old 1... 15`inch only.. arr...small..

  well.... amd is cheaper comapred to intel chips, but they generate more heat....

  anyway less than 256 mb ram, u want to run windows XP then cannot already also expect to spend a lot of time waiting for your computer to load the application and stuff.
  
  and what games u want to play, u will only be able to play games that are at least 1 to 2 years old.
