kcockitch, this might be interesting for you. I saw this documentary somewhere that Jupiter being the largest planet, acts as if it is a vaccum cleaner to suck up most of the massive comet because it's gravitational field is immense due to its mass.

There are lots of variantion if you go the internt route. Books hvae much variation too. I tink i will golibrary and checkout. After all space is something not within earth itself and ther ar emany things humans can do to study and ensure our own survival. That's why we need to go out there into space and explore. Maybe tthen all the books writings and rpedictions can be answer with a logic.we'd see about march 1st 2010
