chit chat is really too active to be managed effectively, and who is to judge who is a clone and who is not. r u saying all crappy threads are to be locked and all its thread starters are to be banned? if its so, then i think this forum die pretty fast.
we have seen crap post and with it comes crap replies. Some plp enjoy this sort of relationship. think of it as unwinding urself after work or school or treat it as a joke if you like. let the crappers crap. those who feel they are too high and mighty for such topics can stay out of it and start their own intellectual group/forums and chat about stuff that interest them.
you don't like it doesnt mean no one else likes it. FI and everyone of us here have a life outside this virtual world. since we r all in, y not make it a better place? you mind your own business while the rest mind their own. -

Monkey also has a point. We don't get to see many trolls in the "special interest" forums much. A number of SI mods have ever issued warnings and the trolls decided to slink away and set up home in the Bar or here.
But we must also examine the nature of the SI forums. The trolls may not even be interested in the content being discussed there. It is also pertinent to note that some members are being flamed for not being well-informed enough and the mods just sit on the sidelines and munch popcorn at times.
There is a fine line between criticism and trolling and all members must be aware that such a line exists. Excessive flaming or taunting should be seen as harassment and swift action ought to be taken against the perpetrators.
Many PHP boards have tough anti-flaming policies and we should adopt them. In fact, we need more administrators to clean up the muck left behind by trolls and flamers. Don't give the excuse that too much policing is bad for ratings. By ensuring a conducive environment for posters, we will encourage more members to sign up and broaden the pool of potential premier members. -

we are not blaming the mod 100%. However, being a mod does come with a responsibility. A mod should at least make sure that the members do not go overboard with their flamings, I mean a little flaming won't hurt anyone and you should get used to it if you want to stay in here.
