Hello , I'm just curious.
Being a good songwriter , is it require to have a Grade8 Music theory knowledge and certificate?
Cause i'm currently a Graduate Grade 5 student. However , I stop my theory as i don't know should i continue it. So do you guys think is it require to have a Grade8 Music theory knowledge. Does Grade 6 -8 theory teach the skills of composing or it just teach all the history of the good musicians?
My dream is to become a singer who can sing , choreograph dance and compose my own music. I know is quite impossible as i think music industry nowadays are basically depend on appearance with a little talent or some who REALLY VERY TALENTED. As Kpop are very popular in asia right? and their music are very addicting. I really love how the composer in Korea compose the song. That's why i only aim to be a songwriter as i think it will be enjoyable to write some music to express your own feelings.

appearance issues can easily be resolved by a trip to Korea... there alot of surgery to improve your looks... talent is something that can't be easily improved at the moment... plus passion and hard work... personally, i think being a good songwriter doesn't need any qualifications... i don't see how a good song needs a certificate to certify if it's a good song or a bad song. if it's that easy, the all the chart topping songs must be "harvard" certified.

You're right funguy, it's really passion and hardwork. Most of the songwriter can make 2-3 songs a day because their very determined and they want to release this soon as possible. For me, all i want is dancing, so guys help me where i can enroll dance lessons?
