[Limo Forum] What is your impressions of these groups ?

Many Limo Groups
1) Royal
2) Ace Limo
3) Rainbow
4) K Limo
5) Black Classic
6) Limo2000
7) etc... Pls feel free to add in
Combi and Vito group
1) Star Vito
2) City Limo (23)
3) City Maxi (22)
4) Eagle
5) Lakeview Limo
6) City Combi
i heard people are forming an alphard group.. Anybody got info? Rbs70 u have any info pls share with us!

There r actually more than 20 limousine taxi groups in the island.... As the group gets bigger, there tends to have "Group politics"....
Some limousine drivers can b very "Tai-Ko" by giving their own namecards trying to "hijack" customers belonging to the member within the group..
Some can even go to the pickup point (didn't get job successfully from walkie) & try to "hijack" member's job....
Hence, getting a "right" group is job is not easy....
One of the few advantages r some helpful members will regularly announce in the group.... the traffic information... where got pick & go... & which airport terminals can try.

Ok, I have to admit I do not know much about limo groups..
But I do know about Combi and Vito Groups..
lets talk about the2 former groups that I were in.
Anybody wants to hear more??? Come come come... I want to see who pitching tent here then I start my story telling

As most of these socially formed limousine groupings r taxi drivers....
it is very difficult to have a group full of regulations...
Yes...
without regulations... it is full of shitty drivers trying to "hijack" each other....
if there r too strict a regulation... (like army)...
who wants to join ?
There r some drivers whom want to lead the group... want full authority.... Fuck lah...We r all self-employed drivers.... I don't owe u a living too...

Yup, I agree that all of us are self employed and will not easily listen or take instructions from others.. Hahaha...
the right mindset for members who wants to join group is that the group does not owe you a living. You have to know how to get your jobs by your own means.
join group is for support and help and advice on traffic conditions, that was my mindset.
some groups have joining fee of $5, $10 per month. Sme groups have $30 per month.. Wow.. Why they need $30 per month for what??

Some small grouping...
when u need assistance.... page out job....
no one is available as the group doesn't have enough vehicles to support...
Group too big...
U tends to worry when the passenger(s) will come back to you in future as there tends to have MANY HUNGRY GHOSTS.
U may spend months or even years trying to built your customer's base, but if one Tai-Ko takes your job.... your previous efforts r all wasted.

in CDG premier group for so long liao.... many pioneers in the previous "so-bo-lan" under yellow top division respected him very much...
even the premier staffs "feaed" him....
He is one of the few drivers the company really listen to... hence he can really b a good leader. -
Me doing disposal... from 12pm..
stay waiting in the car for passenger to call....
knn... now 1.25pm liao... sit in the car still got money take... not bad.

Star Vito = 95% makes up of either Private Vito + Viano & Toyota Hirace High roof...
They r the 1 of the socially indepedence group in the country. if u r driving one of the above mentioned vehicle, u want to b associated with them... simple explanation.
As for CDG maxicabs drivers... they will join City Maxi grouping. It is almost like "Compulsory" membership.

heard their group talk is transmitter radio.. Rom 6am start talk 3 talk 4 till at night 11pm...
Wah... How come got so many things to talk???

I heard Royal now got 600plus members, they got Chrysler, white, Maxicab and a few private Vito... Not easy to have so many members... 600 plus members, when 1 durian drop, how many members bid?? Tan wu jia boh??
thats why there is a lot of submarine jobs going on. Each Durian Head would prefer to support their own khakis/supporters rather than page out. If let's say those Hotel Jobs 5-15 mins one then no choice, have to page out. Otherwise all submarine one lah..
but there must be a balance, Some group members are very unhappy about these submarine jobs then friction arise... Haha..
So how to strike a balance? How can the group IC or committee manage these problems??
To be honest, I have nothing against people talking.. Just that sometimes they bring their unhappiness to the group talk and then u see ex TDs getting into a fight... Lol...

I think taxi stand in this aspect is different, cause all are driving the same taxi, same kind of meter.
But why people can get so unhappy with Ah Guan that I cannot understand...
