Limo Forum - will e rest of the Taxis coy getting NEW CDI ?

CDG has just renewed it fleet of ageing Mercedes Limousine cabs by purchasing 150 units from Cycle & Carriage (was told that 120 units are already put on the road replacing the 8 yrs older vehicles).
Now, the big question is.....
Will the rest of the Taxi companies going to replace or expand their existing fleet of Mercedes branded limousine vehicles ?

SMRT Mercedes CDI fleet are due to expire in coming months.
I was told (by a reliable source) that the company has already seek the replacement with the NEW Mercedes CDI.
The possible daily rental ?
Will their new fleet of Mercedes CDI follows their Chrysler's meter $0.33 jump ?
This... we may need our fellow forummers for more feedback. (Tia Kong also can)...

SMART (CNG) Mercedes
are also into their final year. Will they purchase the new vehicles for replacement of their ageing fleet, given that the COE is at RECORD High Levels ?

As for Transcab (aka Dynasty),
I'm not too sure. Their current fleet is already giving a big headache to their machancis and even to their Operation Manager (aka Jasmine).
Morever, the current fleet (of 100 or lesser dued to unrepaired vehicles)
, is about 5 yrs plus old. They still got 2-2.5yrs of lifespan to go.Transcab is famous for their Toyota wish taxis, is believed to concentrate on their normal taxis growth rather than putting their investment on the limousine branded cabs.

I believe all other coy will follow CDG to replace their old Merc.
Rental will be around 159 +/- 10.
Isn't SMRT supposed to come up with the new London Cab?

SMRT has many choices of taxis to drive for.....
Yes... the LONDON Cabs, the oldest fleet will expires in March 2013 (have a friend whom currently driving one).
From his sources, SMRT "should" (not confirmed yet though), to replace these cabs, with the MADE-IN-CHINA
(assembly) with automatic gearbox. Rental should range from $130-$150. -

I took 2 years for sweeping was becos..... previously, getting a hand on the limousine cab needs 2 years of normal cab driving experiences... a criteria by CDG premier department.... Not that I want to... haha.
Now, with many limousine taxis on the road already, you have stand a higher chance driving a new vehicle !!

Let me master the routes first.
Others beside CDG have yet to show their card (new merc). Will it be 0.22 or 0.33?
I am also considering making a switch to CDG.

ALL CDG mercedes' meter jump at 0.22 currently.....
It is always better for New drivers to chose CDG, for their cashless payments..
