Hi guys.....and ladies
When we normally talk and discuss about limousine cabs.... the 1st brand that appears in our mind is Mercedes Benz eClass 220 CDi.
The Merc limousine cabs have been on our road since the late 90s and still growing strong with a few generation of this model. Followed by the Black Cab (Chrysler) and now the new kids on the block, Vellfire taxis.
Have we forgotten that CDG had actually came out 100+ units on this Hyundai Azera, also labelled as a limousine cab ?
Pls share your opinions and views here as there could be some forummers interested to read about and we should cater to all limousine vehicles on SG road.

For my own driving experience on this vehicle.....(when my Mercedes cab was grounded for a week back in 2008), I got this helpful kaki that offerred me to drive his New (at that time) Hyundai Azera as I have some Loyang CDG jobs (with cabcharge payment) to fulfil.
The cab is huge as compared to Mercedes Benz CDi.... I assumed it is slightly longer.
but for a big car.... it did not have 1 important gadget....
Cruise control....
this model by CDG is
run engine...
& it is quite thirsty... as compared to the Western Brand limousine....
I understood from a reliable source that this Hyundai Azera acquired by the taxi company is not a full turbo version.... hence, to push a heavy vehicle off the block, one have to step more on the acceleration....hence consumed more diesel.
personally, it is a good driving experience....
but once you have driven a Mercedes Benz Limousine cab, you won't want to downgrade to a lower graded business vehicle.
unless....
you are looking for a lower daily rental as per OMO drivers.
The cab (inside) is surprisingly spacious, you will be surprised that it can offers more leg-room to the back sitted passengers.
CDG appeared to be half-hearted on this Azera as their limousine fleet as they (Hyundai Azera fleet) are NOT ALLOWED to Q at Airport Limousine cab Q as they did not meet the brand equirement set by the limousine counters at the 4 terminals.
They... are only allowed to some corporate jobs.....
Neither here or there....
They are graded higher than the brand's peer (Hyundai Sonata).....
but lower than Mercedes Benz limousine cabs....
Even private limousine groups (walky talkie groups) did not want Azera drivers into their socially formed grouping. It is sad.... but it's true.... go ask around.
I still have this GOOD BUDDY who offered me to drive for a week, driving Hyundai Azera. His name is Martin.... Thanks brother Martin.... (cab number 8094). You are the Best.
Any bros with / or driving Hyundai Azera, either with SMRT CNG and/or CDG can come in and share with us your experiences.
I have found out that by using the cruise control in Expressway...it give u more mileage in CNG..try it many times..

"ventured" into Hyundai Azera, on the possible option that it may replace the Mercedes fleet limousine taxis
but it failed badly as they are not included to the AP limousine Q.
Back in 2008....
The daily rental for Toyota Crown is approximately at $86 to 90.
Hyundai Sonata at ard $100 to $103.
Hyundai Azera at ard $108 to $112.
Mercedes Mercedes (newer fleet) at $124 to $133.
So, many of these Mercedes limousine drivers jump to Azera..... and regretted... but they saved abit on the rental but not getting limousine jobs.

Whatever we see on the road now, that's it....heard the rental drop below 100pts...just like Starex, remember?
In Army term, they are Guardsman.....half fark Commando, overtrain Infantry....

Hyundai Azera is a failure lah....
but still white.... still considered as Limo cab for CDG.

they got G jobs lar but rates slighty 2-3 bucks lower than mercs..............
this cab at a discounted rental is still consider ok.....
but....

The version acquired by CDG is only a normal edition.....
Accordingly to my ex-hirer whom used to work freelance for CDG said that taxis companies love to less all available options to save cost.
This fleet of Azera is not a fully turbo version.. and it is more thirsty than Sonata.

tunnel... got speed camera....
sometimes, if something on your mind.... one tends to forget and travelled above the speed limit.
Now, most Azera on the road....become so lau kok kok....
Most of them either dent here or dent there....drivers also never wear white..
I believe every time an Azera return, CDG will take the opportunity to scrap away......that's why getting lesser and lesser...
Hyundai Sonata (after 3yrs) also breaks down offen..... that goes to the same to Azera....
It engine can "suddenly" died w/o warning..... not like in Mercedes cab... there are many indicators before BLACKOUT....
I got another kaki....break down twice a month for a few months.... (eventually gave up and jumped back to Mercedes cab)
In the first place, is Hyundai known to be a limousine??
If u all talk about limo, the internationally recognised brand of course the MB lah.
If you are paying 45pts for a limo, u want Merc or Hyundai? Hyundai for ahnyeonghasaeyo can lah. For Angmo, what u think?
