LTA approved in car camera for CDG taxis

Dear Cabbies
We are pleased to inform you that we have obtained approval from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) to allow our Cabbies to install video camera in their taxis. The brand of the video camera approved is Janus HD Camerawhich comes with a wide angle coverage of 120 degrees and clear recording abilities.
Please note that the Janus HD Camera is currently the only camera brand in the market that is approved by the LTA for installation on ComfortDelGro Taxis. No other brands of video camera are allowed to be installed in our taxis.
Cabbies who are interested to buy the Janus HD Camera, please come down to SPARK Car Care Booth on 31 Mar (Sat）and 1 Apr (Sun) at our ComfortDelGro Quarterly Telco Road Show at 383 Sin Ming Drive. The price is $375 (usual price is $425) and comes with a 1 year warranty.For the first 500 taxis, they will enjoy a $100 subsidy from ComfortDelGro Taxi business (Terms & Conditions Apply).

They now then send me the email... I thought it strange.... What business does LTA have in terms of choice of in car camera ? What about radios and reverse cameras ? It sounds like a fishy deal. CDG is an evil empire....
