Wether you a Limousine Driver or Normalsine Driver or Pte Limo Driver, our job requires us to be confine in our small air-condition office with our hand holding onto steering wheel and legs on the pedal most of the time.
We are sometimes at the wheel for more than 12 hours a day. In our small ofice, there is little room for stretching and we has to stay alert all the time. This sedentary job causes back muscles to weaken. As a result, we are more at risk of lower back pain and should do back strengthening exercises.
The root causes of most injuries from driving can be attributed to sitting for long periods of time and whole-body vibration.
Prolonged periods of sitting also hinder proper blood flow and can cause blood clots to form in the leg veins. The clots may then block blood flow to and from the heart and lungs with serious consequences.
Whole-body vibration triggers bursts of back muscle activity. This unconscious activity causes neck and back muscles to get tired more quickly, and reduces the support these muscles can give to the spine. Even if the muscles are not working very hard, without rest they will become fatigued which increases the risk of back injury. Exposure to whole body vibration for a long time and the increased disc pressure from sitting can injure your back.
Usually we will stop and take regular rest/stretch breaks for several minutes every hour or two.

Lower back pain (lumbago) is extremely common, affecting most people at some point in their lives. Poor posture is one of the major risk factors.

Get out of the taxi and do simple stretching exercise while waiting for pax to arrive for booking jobs, hourly disposal.
Do taiji beside your cab while waiting for the MDT to bling.
Everytime u drive past a fitness corner, park at the side and do 10 chin ups, 50 sit ups and 30 push ups. Run back to your taxi before the TP comes.
for the run back to your taxi before the TP comes, must ensure that you have gd shuttle run timings record

Yes... our driving cabin is small....besides playing with...
Most times, I will come out of the vehicle and clean it. Excerised abit here and there..
