I agree with you, and further more with very efficience diesel consumption thats mean if i drive say abt 300km daily, that's means a save of abt $15 on average,
New Merc Limo - Rental $160 + $17 @$1.15 per ltr diesel = $177 (based on 300km)
Old Limo - Rental $123 + $35 @$1.15 per ltr diesel = $158 (based on 300km)
Difference of $19..
this can make sense..

HahaSince you own a limo pte ltd, have you consider expanding your business by hiring 1 or 2 drivers and buying an extra Viano?

Me only a newbie in the Private Sector, even though I have driven taxi for 9 yrs. Take a step by itself. TOo heavy commitment isn't good. I have seen some "used to be BIGGER GUYs" went under... under some regional financial crisis. Most of these bigger players have corporate a/c with banks... Hopefully, your clientele don't get retrenched during a financial meltdown... Or relocation to sonewhere else. Safest is stay @ 1 CAR will do.... -

I know a pte limo lao gui got 9 vehicles under his empire.
But due to his "nature" of business, his not very popular among the white cabby.

That's normally the case... Sometimes, he even "lower" his price, even cheaper than the Mercedes taxi.... How to compete? Anyway, I know who u are referring to..... Haha. -

U want to expand. .... Can but provided that you have the business to substain your salaries to you drivers, the diesel/petrol runs, the vehicles' financing etc. Not so simple. If you don't have a good cash flow & regular accounts..... You sure "peng san". Why give yourself such a headache....? Banks will sued you for bankrupty if your monthly financing is not met. As OWT just mentioned.... Be contented. Expand to quick may have future problems.

Many of my close kakis, ask me, why I still drive taxi.
Haha, by just paying rental fee daily, Comfort help me to solve The problem of maintenance, taxes, wear and tear...etc, which I hated. And best things of all, rental is pay by passenger as long as I drive.
