I heard it was $167 after count everything (GST) I presume.
I drove Azera then, my hirer said June got new Merc but for Citycab 1st, Jan then for Comfort.
I had a serious think about whether to follow once he returned his Azera for the new Merc.
Anyway I switched hirer, so luckily no need to think so many now. But really if even just $140, calculate the extra 70cts, and lesser fuel consumption, and dont count Limo jobs, really not gonna be easy to earn on normal days. After midnight really got problem, must find lobang, cannot be idle like my style/
It would awesome to drive a bew Merc, I managed to drive one as a private Limo, the car is beautiful, handling, acceleration, damn shiok.
But after thinking about finding pax, I'm glad I'm out of it, for now at least.

The other way to counter the night shift problem (shorter business hours) is to ask for a earlier shift change.
ie, 4pm to 4am.
If lucky, you should be able to achieve at least 160pts to 180pts before midnite.
Friday nights should be better off by 20-40pts.

Not many white follow this timing leh.....but night limo must definitely secure their own clients, cannot depend on others.
Getting disposal at night is as easy as ABC especially Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.....many successful night limo stories been told many many time...

Getting disposal is one thing....
how much you get (per hour) from the disposal.....
Some are getting 25-30pts.... cut down rate... OMG.

White cab disposal pricing always an issue....sigh....even hotel disposal jobs also must pay GST per hour.
25pts, Bo la....minimum also 30pts, and it become a habit..
But for night limo, 30 an hour, sometime the disposal can start from 6pm-4am, 10 hours...300pts, park and sleep, sleep and park....clients drink and disco, why not?

for white limousine cabs okie....
but not for Pte Viano.... I rather watch TV and relax at home.... $300 let someone else make... (no problem for me).

The lowest I did (before the limousine rate increased) was $35 per hour.... (CBL disposal for Far E_ _t Group). CBL and sleep 95%... $35 okie lah...
knn.... this guy throw at $30 last week..... I met him the other day at Block 22 (becos block 89 closed already), F him lah.... I told him anything (disposal) below 40pts.... please don't call me.

A major problem exists because of pte limo. Take Tour East for example, they have the Emirates contract plus a lot of pick-ups, city tours and transfers. They only got x num ber of Mercs, BMW and combis or buses, so majority they contract out.
Last I when i was working as pte limo driver for company, was that they pay only $32 for Merc transfer and $28 for camry, but they got tons of jobs, so many pte limos take it up.
Therafter these companies then will price their transfers very cheaply for other jobs.
I tell you, merc cabby charge more, pte limo co will tell pax, why pay so much for merc cab, somemore got taxi sign on top, here is pte car, better condition, like personal driver and cheaper too.
So many pax and some company start to demand less and less.
That's my own experience, but I gotta admit it's about 3-4 years old, now I dunno much, you definitely know better than me about this trade.

Yes, you have been there, done it and experienced it.
As compared to a few years ago... there are definitely more vehicles engaged with Private Limousines, especially the Toyota Hirace (High Roof), Mercedes Vito & Viano. Main reason is the cost of daily rental for limousine taxis have increased sharply through the years.
I was going for the CDG Maxi cab Viano when I was told the new one cost $155 on daily rental (last July) and the waiting list is given priority to their existing drivers. OMG $155 daily rental as compared to the older fleet of $102. That prompt me to visit Cycle's showroom.

limousine jobs are paying peanuts (for arrivals) to drivers (in their lists) and the good "deals" are given to their preferred drivers. If I am not mistaken, they have many Mercedes eClass private limousine drivers in their "working" list. Guaranteed 3 jobs a day... (regardless the hours).
plus long sleeves shirt + tie is a must.... OMG.... in this Singapore weather... how to tehan.
.Heard the jobs (regardless departure or arrival). All at $38.

A few years ago....
a brand new Toyota High roof only cost $65k.... (probably COE premium was at it's lowest point, for Cat C). but there weren't many takers at that point of time....
At current, many of these High Roof drivers I knew are previously from CDG Maxi cabs drivers. They left taxi industry mainly becos of the higher rental and better prospect driving their own vehicles.
When I booked for my Mercedes Viano back in May 2011, delivered in September 2011 at $128,988; everyone thought it is expensive. Now ? Even Sam.seah (Limo forum owner) "hesitates" to buy 1 at $160,000.

Furthermore....
the taxi industry has been so much saturated as compared to 4-5yrs ago. The total units of taxi OTR is aproximately at 27,000 as compared to 18,000 then.
Limousine cabs (Mercedes) from 600 units had expanded to 1,500 units or more.
There are also more vehicles (private cars) on the road dued to the LTA's error of releasing COEs like Great Singapore Sales.

For night drivers, don't do also change shift 5am, do also change shift 5am....so if don't do, can go home early meh?
