Was thinking of Merc, but was kind of old (> 6 years). Decided to take my time (1 year) in the baby pool to master the art of sweeping, art of queueing and optimise earning potential before diving into the sea where the white shark rules.
By that time, SMRT should be looking for new merc to replace the old merc.
6th Jun will be the day SMRT released the new Epica to us.

For a start... it is prefectly fine to start off as a normal cab TD.
New vehicle ? OMO or sharing with a kaki ?
Go learn the trade slowly.
Yeah... the Mercedes cab (SMRT) are heading for their 7yrs lifespan soon. But the company may not even commit to a new fleet of Mercedes as the cost of importing the german vehicles are more cosy than the american brands.

SMRT new SPACE Ssangyong MPV taxis is now open for booking. I think rental is $124 (before GST) per day.

Actually, one of my course mate took the old Ssangyong MPV. His friend also driving Ssanyyong MPV encouraged him to take. In fact, his old Ssangyong MPV is cheaper than the new Chevy Epica. Will find out more from him.
