I heard those army regulars who had the priviledge of going to afganistan for peace keeping, that they had to sign an agreement not to work for foreign armies. To me its complete bullshit. If forummers interested to know, I'm one of the pioneer batch in Exercise Wallaby way back to 1992 in Shoalwater Bay Australia. Until today, Ex Wallaby is still on going and I heard the scale of exercise is getting bigger and bigger. fyi, Shoalwater Bay is 4 times bigger than Singapore land, if you lost in the dessert, you really will lost....

Thats why gurkhas so proud of their job. Being a mercenary is really very sud. Singapore got many bankers doctors lawyers. Its one thing to be a army navy or air force regular (not much to boast about right ?), but to be a mercenary for american or british forces is top honor. Something to boast about. Not many can make such a claim and some more got nothing to do with SAF.
That should be the motivation to do well in NSF. Go thru the ranks, leave SAF and pitch your skills and bravery to foreign armies who appreciate u more.

Was wondering my soul in other forums and happen to found a thread having a forum war close to 2 years.
For Honours and Glory? I lost that feeling long long time ago, NSF come and go, duration getting shorter and shorter, from regimental to 3G army to 4G, I took my time to finish the whole 54 pages in 2 hours. The hot debate is from forummers who was once CDO and forummers who try to act like one, throughout the whole threads, not a single regulars still in service came in, (if have, I will know) it already tell you something's....
Maybe I might join in the hot debate if I found out that thread long enough, anyway, certain topic is not appropriate to discuss, I'm glad it had ended without revealing too much....hahaha, surprisingly that thread still on sticky and is not locked...puzzles

After my NS...I was a Bunkering clerk for 8 years,after saving some money,my wife ask me to resign cos I work 2 days on board & 2 days off (but 1 day MIA cos I go chiong nite club & never go home)...lol...after resign I go into F&B...running a canteen in tuas west ave,contract finish,they increase the rent & I get fed-up so try coffeeshop,running a coffeeshop is not simple,bo meh bo jit,knn work worse than cow...so give up in 2008,join JM Ice company till now,TD is my part time job.....but I do it like full time.....lol...
