Is limousine drivers earning enough to stay private property

Saw a similar thread at taxi driver forum, maybe should open up one thread here for friendly discussion. Some forummers over there claim that limousine drivers earning good money? No doubt, among circles of friends, many cabbies stay in private property, but there's always a lot of history or stories behind it. For myself, I'm staying in landed property, not that I earn a lot through driving taxi, commitment to a roof over our head is very individual. Those time, with some lady luck and good buy, I able to commit myself to this present home. Really not like some forummers saying that had to slog like hell. If without that opportunity, one also dare not commit to high risk investment, and this apply to all industries. There's nothing to show off with, is just a house to me. Hope this thread will attract some friendly debate on this topic, good days.

Bro.If you have bought it previously (probably many yrs back), I can only said you have made a good investment & with a good foresight.
Many of us are probably working in other industries before coming into TD driving (that's after the age of 30+). With the current average revenue (income) of a TD, it is very difficult to even afford a small condominium apartment.
He (TD) may has to drive for many years w/o spending a cent of his revenue just to pay for the downpayment, which is not possible. (pls correct me if I'm wrong).
As for me, a common HDB 4room flat is already a blessing.
. I do have some TDs' kakis staying in condo, but they have purchased the properties before they come into this TD trade. Some of them even paid off their mortgages (before they became cabbies). 
Amazing, but it is true....So, at current phrase in life, these kakis are those "eat full, nothing to do" type.... Maybe Sam is one of them.

In term of assets, confirmed I'm millionaire, but pocket, empty. In my neighborhood, total there's 4 taxi uncles staying around. 1 from Silver crown, 1 from Comfort crown, 1 from Comfort sonata and the last is me. So what's the big deal of staying in landed property? To compare one's life is meaningless. What you think impossible, others could make it. To kill curiosity, I never strike lottery, neither did I strike toto. Is opportunity that I had met and dare to commit. Just depending on limousine driving is definitely a no no, but cleverly using every opportunity in life, some time you might achieve the ultimate goals you are looking for.

I saw in seletar terrace. Got one taxi uncle live Terrace house. I saw him walk inside. To my horror, he live there and even keep a DOG???
True story. Taxi also can buy terrace house. WTF

Come to my estate, you will be horror 4 times, maybe you yet to see some cabbies staying in Bukit Timah area..
But remember, nobody can determine someone life, be it Taxi Driver or even Cleaner..

I seen TD staying in condos and landed before.
It is no longer a curiousity.
So far never seen a taxi going inside landed property with gurkha yet.....
The day this happens, let me tell u, Singaporeans got some hope liao.... Either that or pigs can fly by then..........

There's one black stay very close to someone landed property with gurkha, I think that one the most sucessfull..
That day I drove past, his maid was washing his taxi..

Wow, very good life hor... Maid wash taxi hor... Ah ni Kuan hor!!
One thing about Singapore is the last time gahmen very good, make sure we have a roof over our heads.
A lot of angmo come, they praise the gahmen say everything is well organized and they don't see homeless people on the streets.
Sometimes. Ask myself, I tulan the gahmen but every other angmo praise, I tulan for wat?

If one is a TD in the 80-90s... probably yes... those days... properties are also cheaper... secondly, not much taxis on the road (definitely below 10,000 units)...
Now ? 27,000 units and counting... current properties ?
even if you can on
everyday can't even afford a HDB.

Some of these people rented the landed properties to stay (even cheaper than HDB).

Can understand the outcry from public when Taxi Uncles stay in private residential.
Even my neighbour sometime also puzzles why a taxi uncle was staying next door to them.

business..
driving a...
...
After 3 years of good staying, we 3 families are...
...Once a while, they need my service, and most time, I need their, Doctor and laundry man...

I bought this terrace house 3 years ago when I'm still driving taxi in this new millenium.
I at my late 30's.
Like what I say dare to make use of chances.
This terrace house is new development those time, when I bought it, is last unit available, and a DISPLAY UNIT. Imagine the discount given to me.
How I make it...to be continued......

It depends on how one maximise the return of your time and money.
If dirving taxi is the only source of income, then chances of living in a private property is lower though not impossible.

On top of that, I'm a qualified life guards. But mainly in events basis.
To commit myself to this present home, took me a lot of courage to do so.
Had to empty my,
Sell my,
Clear all my,
Had connection with some developer, than can realised my dream home.
No regretted until today, freehold land, cheap buy, where to find?
And after empty all my available sources, I don't even need to obtain any loan from banks. The title of my land is well kept in the,
