Limousine taxis - Toyota Vellfire Hybrid Taxis

Last year, I was offer by this senior limousine driver to take up this new toy. Very tempting, but no money to venture new things. He show me the list of drivers going to confirm, 80% from Comfort, and mostly are very season drivers. I heard most of them had already put $1k confirmation fee. Than something happen, a lot of coffee talk, and most of the people who had confirmed wanted to opt out, than it die down, nobody wish to mention on this again after that. Maybe Prime found another set of drivers to launch this new toys. Not within my mean, so better don't think about it.

there are many hidden areas like accident's liabilities, working attire, only OMO and other strict policies.
I know who is the limousine senior TD you are referring to. I met him at Zion Road Block 89 just last week.

I guess he should be popular among limousine trade if we are referring to the same guys. His sales speech number one, no doubt on that. I don't go Zion Road for tea break. Anyway, if I do have spare cash, maybe might be keen to try on it, but at this moment, definitely a no no. -

My advice is that you stay put with CDG, the market leader.

Today spoken to one of the cabby who had place the $1k fee for the Vellfire. His reaction is very piss off, curst and swear, and claim that on the day of delivery, he won't collect the vehicle, let the vehicle stuck there for 10 days, he rather forgo this $1k. Dare not proceed questioning further, wonder what's the actual reason that make him so piss off.

Some may need daily re-charging the electric batteries, which means, alot of time will be wasted.
It the vehicle is running on partial hybrid, then, the engine consumes petrol with a greater mileage as compared to other petrol-run engines.
So, we really need some information here.

You might be right, of all the taxi companies, Prime taxi always give me an impression that they are out to mislead people. Anyway without jobs, I can't survive, so Prime also no no. -

Currently depend on Comfort jobs a lot, 2 years of limousine only manage to secure one regular. Most so call regulars come and go, except this one stuck with me 9 months already. But I can forsee this Vellfire will be another Estima, failure story. -

Initially, the potential drivers (including the senior limousine driver) are optimistic about the chances to get AP approval to Q at the AP Limousine Q. Maybe the proposal is turned down.
If they can't secured some limousine counters to allow the Vellfire to station, then who will want to pay $158, pump petrol, $5k deposits, 5 years contract and sweep the floor ?

Very true, on the deposit part, don't understand why need $10k, Vellfire can't be as costly as my mercedes, right? and Comfort only required $1k for deposit. Although they claim can put $5k first, but with that sum of money, isn't it better to drive Comfort with lower cost and use that money as a capital to secure account job. How I wish I had $10k now, many opportunity need money to roll, without that, one had to be contended with company jobs. -

It is something like a joined venture, investing in a vehicle for 5years. The initial proposal was a lump sum of $10k deposit, but not many TDs can come up with that amount up front.
Hence, the deposit amount was lower to $5k, with another $10 on top of the rental of $148, payable for 500 days. After 500 days, the rental will be adjusted down to the initial $148.

Very true, exactly what the senior limousine driver had told me, thumbs up. Just cannot get over this $10k things. I heard also, some no problem putting $10k in one payment, amazing. Money is so small in this small island. -

Of course, if you can stay put in CDG, it will be the better option. CDG is good for their networking, credit card payment, fast clearance, MDT calls and corporate jobs for limousine drivers.

I don't think I could venture out from Comfort at this point of time. Many limousine drivers in Comfort hate to serve their corporate clients, but I look in different ways, like what you say, fast clearance, I took minimum 3 jobs, sometime 4, and payment will clear the next working days, which company or DH can do that. It actually indirectly solve my rental problem. Is there really so much quarantee jobs? Many people ask? They had to ask themselves, whether they are willing to put that little finger onto the MDT. -

You still need to bring home your earnings and put food on the table. Each individual has their own views of operation. Just do whatever you think it is the best for you and your family.

Why should I do their account jobs and be paid below market rate ?
I only do G. Dep and G. Arr and $18+meter. The rest all on my ban list.

You are a Maxi Cab... only 200 units on the road... you can choose and pick....
If Maxi cab has 800-900 units on the road.... you can still choose and pick ?
Right now, Mercedes limousine cabbies need to do their utmost best to survive. Anything goes is a good working attitude.

If that day comes and I was forced to do all jobs just to get at most a cleaning supervisors pay, I sure quit. I will leave the maxicab and go back to 5+meter.
Why you think I change my underwear so often ? If wrong fit, I change. And keep changing until I find something that fits me better.
I wont do sai kang for CDG. They can try. I just resign. Of course leave on good terms. Not ^&*(#$ my way out. Leave the door open just in case.

If I should let go my Viano, I won't mind trying out on the Vellfire Limousine cab.... but this won't happen for at least until September 2012 end.
Need to up my rates on the next contract. If no agreement, then I could sell after another year.
