Why is the Malaysian understanding of satl baked chicken means its covered with a aluminium foil and wrapped in clay/mud?
And the Singapore versions involves the chicken wrapped in cellapane foil and in layers of papers?
I once had a cook make salt baked chicken in my home kitchen, and it was a whole chicken, wrapped in aluminimum foil and place in a wok filled with black sand and the sand has to be constantly covers the chicken package.
with mud one ususlly with soup inside
with paper one usually dry
salt baked should be paper one
mud one should be begger chicken
