books missing in the libraries are either classified missing or trace placed.
why do they still list the books even though they are missing?
to a library-goer it makes no difference. missing or trace placed means the book is unavailable. the worst thing is some books have been missing for years yet nothing is being done to correct the situation.
Waiting for ppl like you to donate books to them...anyway library din bother abt this...why u so kay poh ah...><"

if thats the case they should removed those books from the listing. re-list the books as and when the books are back. what is the point of listing a book when the book is not available for loan?
btw i assume missing books are books that are missing, not loaned out and not returned.
traced place are books that are missing only recently.
Isn't there a saying?
"Books, I return, fines I don't "
Ps: I have null fines or books due.
Maybe one fine day they will be returned, and the records will be updated to "Available"
maybe 37 yrs later, tt person might return the book leh?
