ONE of the Gold Coast's most elusive - and pale-skinned, celebrity visitors is back in town.
Migaloo, the famous Albino humpback whale was spotted off the Gold Coast, sending his legion of fans in to a frenzy.
Migaloo was observed off Moreton Island late yesterday before another confirmed sighting about 10am Thursday out to sea beyond South Stradbroke Island.
By 11.30am today he was 3.8 nautical miles off Surfers Paradise beach.
It is the first confirmed sighting of Migaloo off the Gold Coast since 2009.
He has teased and tantalised fans in the years since, with appearances at Byron Bay and the Sunshine Coast, but there had been no confirmed sightings in Gold Coast waters until today.
After enjoying a winter holiday in Far North Queensland, Migaloo is on his annual sojourn back to the chilly waters of the Antarctic for the summer.
