ya, fight for sporean's future to dip in our pockets
I love the way the govt is addressing rising inflation in Singapore:
Upgrading one's skills and increasing one's pay is the only way to tackle rising cost of living, National Development Minister and MP for Tampines GRC Mah Bow Tan said.
I guess it's not the govt's responsibility to help. It's all on you!

The Govt is upgrading Foreign Talent's skills through scholarship while Singaporean skills through hardship.
Increasing pay. Now that's interesting, they are increasing their own pay. How can the rest of the Singaporeans increase their own pay? Maybe Durai can come out with a book - "Singaporeans get your peanuts the Durai way."
unscrupulous politicians

Oh please. In the last 5 years we have only seen Singaporeans dwindling smaller and smaller with the influx of all these foreigners. Maybe he meant "new Singaporeans".

They have increased their own salaries by 30% to fight inflation and tackle the high cost of living.
You should increase your own salary by 30% to do so too.
Oops, can you just increase your salary by 30% just like that?

Minimum wage is better.
be it is there a min wage or not seriously does not matter because it could become stagnant yrs later ..
wat matters is you ensure there's wage growth in good times (a threshold % could be given depending on the industry + inflation targeted).

I will vote for you if you choose to stand for elections.

Ah, you must first upgrade your own skills to increase your salary. But you cannot apply for local scholarship.
You can try renouncing your citizenship and then apply for scholarship in Singapore as a foreigner.
It might be faster.
PAP is a good government.
But It needs to improve on political freedom and media freedom.
Give us freedom to protest and a free media.
Gazzeting TOC means It even want to attack internet freedom of speech.

Why do you want to protest against a good government?
After seeing these few group of new candidates and hearing news of many old timers "retiring" I think PM Lee is more concern about his Future and PAP's unity. His Command and Control strategy is to bring in as many of his close ALLY, AIDE, PAST STAFF and relatives into the parliament.
People, he can trust.

THE People's Action Party (PAP) chairman Lim Boon Heng said on Monday that a key issue that the party will fight the coming election on is the kind of future Singaporeans want for themselves and their children.
'Given the environment surrounding Singapore and the competition it faces, what kind of future do we want?' he said at the unveiling of the party's third batch of candidates at the PAP headquarters on Monday afternoon.
Responding to reporters' questions on the PAP's manifesto for the coming election, he said it would be released 'in due course'.
In the 2006 election, the manifesto was released on April 15, three weeks before polling day on May 6.
The latest new faces include the first Malay-Muslim candidate and the youngest PAP candidate among the total of nine introduced so far.
The trio are Mr Zainal Sapari, 46, an educator; Ms Tin Pei Ling, 28, an Ernst & Young consultant; and Mr Gan Thiam Poh, 48, a banker with DBS.

Everything under pap mps eyes are all affordable. Nothing is impossible.
when come to election, they suddenly understand the citizen problems. Where is my mp when i need his help. Even the gov dun really ack the mp letter and even empathy the citizen. i only see Mp Heng Chee How on my block notice board. Did not see him rounding the estate and talking to the neighbours. Maybe he is bz with being an MP and also his daily work.
