1. lighting
2. photoshop : multiple layers, blending modes, filters, dodging + burning
every photo is zhng-ed individually, there's is no fixed way to do it.

well it doesn't make sense when u open it up for 5 , 15 and 13 seconds and there is no change in the exposure

What was the size of the image you uploaded? Maybe Flickr's compression algorithm's not up to par.

but my original 600 x 424 looks sharper than this one.
the images that can been seen at flickr is actually sharp, but when i copy image address and use it here, it blows back up to 600 x 424 i think but not the original uploaded image quality
Must be a resizing issue with the forum software then, I expect - they're coming up as 500X353 here.
