This test only has one question, but it's a very important one. By giving an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally.
The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision. Remember that your answer needs to be honest, yet spontaneous.
Please scroll down slowly and give due consideration to each line.
THE SITUATION:
You are at Orchard Road. There is chaos all around you caused by a hurricane with severe flooding. This is a flood of Biblical proportions. You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper, and you're caught in the middle of this epic disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless.
You're trying to shoot career-making photos. There are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing under the water. Nature is unleashing all of its destructive fury.
THE TEST:
Suddenly you see two men in the water. They are fighting for their lives, trying not to be taken down with the debris. You move closer. Somehow they look familiar … you suddenly realize who they are.
It's LKY and LHL!! At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take them under forever.
You have two options:
You can save their lives or you can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize winning photo, documenting the deaths of two of the world's most powerful people
NOW, Here's the question; and please give an honest answer ...
What do you suggest? Would you select high contrast color film or would you go with the classic simplicity of black and white?
Save them, then take picture together in high contrast film...
U no say whether camera is anti water anot de... Wait if not waterproof then no point

No, it's not a joke. I was laughing because it is a damn good question, very clever.
Really - what option would you choose?

If its me, I would use high contrast color film.
The black and white monotone thing can change later.
Besides, different publications might want different color themes to fit the story.
i would save them. this is because if i don't save them and the photograph makes it to global headlines, people will accuse me of not trying my best to save the 2 people in the water. i might be charged for negligence and stripped of the Pulitzer prize.besides, if you save them, you can get a medal as well.
Why were the 2 of them at Orchard Road in such weather??? Nvm..
Okay, I'll take photo first, then save them, then take photo again. \m/
I'll quickly write out a document stating that they're handing over their appointment to me.
Then I'll go near them and say 'sign this and I'll save your lives'.
After they've sign the documents, I'll say bye bye...
...and become the next Prime Minister of Singapore.
i'll save them not because their important people but because of the guilt i face if i didn't do anything. why save people for the hope of getting a medal? is a single human life not valuable to you?
but ermm... under such dangerous circumstances, i know i'll probably die and sink together with them, this i do not want especially dying with them.
but taking the pictures is sickening still...
Hi,
I think my answer will be the most best
Since it is going to be afleet of a second before Lim KewYong and Lam Hum Langoes under water i can forget about saving them since one will die anyway. if if i do it is no gaurantee i can get that one out and make myself a live too.
I will shoot in high definition video to capture every moment of the two going down.
In this way i can see the video footage and use selective screen stills for photo montage. With stills i can use photo shop edit to just plain BW or high contrast feel.
i'm no camera buff...can i standby and watch the rest of you do the deed?
and i can't swim to save my life.
Really no way to save them then too bad lor...they die lor
anyway, it will make for a nice shoot in multi color and in high definition in their struggle to stay alive
i could post it under the show: I shouldn't be alive
this question is rather complex and i had to apply many concepts i picked up in primary school.
using cost benefit analysis i feel that classic black and white would certainly be more appropriate as they usually wear white anyway so a use of colored film would certainly spell a waste of resources.(:
Black and white, would be classic
test of morality... lol...
high contrast colours.
no about the photographer. since foreig labor is off great important in terms of what they can contribute per dollar per man hours should we consider also hiring a foreign photographer? hmm . .
Save both, then ask them for $10 million dollar.
You an retire liao.
