So I stay on in school for another 1 year to get that piece of paper.
If it's so right to quit school.....
You could have just gone to NS, ORD-ed one year earlier, and get one extra year of experience, no?
If that piece of paper was so useless, then you pretty much gave up on having an extra year of experience, and had to pay an extra year of course fees and related expenses, right?

So, in short, you were wasting time having fun and burning away your parents' money instead of gaining valuable work experience.
Wow. You can't follow your own advice on quitting school. And your excuse for doing so is your desire for fun and an utter disregard for your parents' welfare. Woohoo!
Now, on to my next question. Did you use 'that piece of paper' to get your current job?
pika did not go into insrance lah...

quit, quitted, quitted? no?
pika, hey i dare say you made a VERY VERY brave choice on quitting school. I mean if someone in singapore dares to quit school, it meant that they are either very rich, they don't give a damn bout studies.. they are hopless or for your case maybe something affecting you personally which is not allowing you to continue your studies in poly.
Since you have already quit school, work till your ns letter come than you enroll for ns. meanwhile the most practical thing i suggest is to work. Let's say $5-$7 is the average amount of pay you can get per hour. So i suggest, work and save money. $400 during ns cant do a shit.
Maybe during NS you see things in a different way, you wanna go chiong during bookouts no money.. than you think of work.. but $5-$7 pay cant do a shit or buy you shots, so you think of earning more money.. the only way is to get a cert.. and bo pian you have to study again.
I sincerely wish you all the best. If you need work, i can help you keep a look out.
Btw, what poly and course were you previously in?

#1 Those people who quit school and became successful actually KNEW what they wanted to do and worked towards it. If you have no goal or aim in life and just quit school, it is likely you won't get anywhere at all.
#2 They are but a small %. What about 99% of the rest who did not become successful? Why don't you talk about them instead.
#3 If it is so easy to succeed without qualifications, why aren't more people doing it?
#4 You should just practice what you just preached seriously
Work for family business lo. Expand the empire of his family business.
Sure there are many positions eager to be filled by one of thier own.

Dollars to donuts say he did.
So much for walking the talk.
