Heh, also hor, broadcasting the traits that make us unique are usually gimmicks to win approval for what we're actually lacking. Speaking of which, I find the whole concept of exciting and 'not your usual' date ritual pretty amusing.
I wonder why people really believe that they need to do it (or similar things) in order to get the opposite sex's attention in a romantic way. -

You've got a point there but it wasn't quite what I had in mind. It's not quite about making up for what we're lacking. If it'd happened the other way around as it usually does in real life, i.e. you see the short slim git that I am before you learn what I'm about, you might've diismissed me as 'just like any other forgettable person who has approached me before, trying to bite off more than he can chew'.
