Frankly if you're below 30 and physically average, with no real health problems, should do long haul trips while you can. If your itinerary is only 2 weeks max, I doubt the traveling will take a toll on your body. Well to be honest, why i consider South America my mecca precisely because it is not very accessible to people from our parts of the world. I think that part of the world intrigues me more than anywhere else because we dun see so much of them in the news or pictures on the TV or any media....
I am also now very interested in small islands in the Carribean like Trinidad and Tobago after watching Travel and Living haha! Those are super inaccessible lah....but it makes it more worth the while!
Yeah... I think the allure comes in their partly being rather shut off from the rest of the world. Wah Caribbean islands... never really thought about that but like what they say, by the time you're ready for any real trip, your bones are too brittle to carry you further.
Pity Singapore hardly has any room for adventurers, I remember seeing reports of this chick who circumnavigated solo around the world. -
