Original Firmware PSP:
All Models! (PSP 2000, PSP 3000 and PSP GO!)
Custom Firmware PSP:
Half-mod: PSP 2000 and PSP 3000
Full-mod: PSP 2000
I'm sorry but, PSP Go! cannot be modified as it does not have an external Memory Stick reader. Although it has (I think.) 16 GB of internal hard disk space. Ok, now, the pros and cons between the Half-mod and Full-mod.
Half-mod:
Pros: Cheaper to modify.
Cons: After your battery runs flat or other problem happened, your games are gone. (When you turn on your PSP, if the 'Sony Entertainment' screen thing appeared, it means that your games are gone. A simpler explanation.)(Sorry, don't really know about half-mod.)
Full-mod:
Pros: More reliable and less troublesome then the Half-mod.
Cons: Alot MORE EXPENSIVE.
My suggestion: Get the Full-mod. It's better although it's more expensive.
And, don't go to the U.S. and ask them for Half-mods. They will laugh at you.

One last thing...
DON'T go to a Sony shop and ask them for PSP 2000. They don't have it. It's discontinued. Go to a non-Sony shop to ask. And, DON'T go to Comics Connection and ask for a modified PSP. They don't have it too. The prices for PSP 2000 goes up once in a while as they are hard to find and are discontinued. Get it quickly if you want that model!
