HOLLYWOOD -
James Brown's widow and five-year-old son have been cut out of the soul legend's will, fuelling reports his marriage wasn't legal and the boy isn't his biological son.
Tomi Rae Hynie has been fighting the allegations since her husband died on Christmas Day, after Brown's family attorneys claimed the Godfather of Soul told them of his suspicions before he died.
The soul star's biological children even attempted to cut Hynie and her son out of their father's funeral plans last month, suggesting the marriage was a sham.
An emotional Hynie, who was in rehab addressing her painkiller addiction when Brown died, has gone public on various news shows declaring her marriage was legal and Brown is the father of her son James Brown II.
She even told talk-show host Larry King that Brown had instructed her to withdraw $80,000 from a trust fund he had set up for her son upon his passing. But now it looks like that's all she'll be getting.
Hynie's attorney, Robert Rosen, reveals Hynie was not at the will reading in South Carolina yesterday, and she will contest it.
