It's looking like a curse now. Whoever holds the reins at anfield always seems to have a rough ride. I don't think Martinez is top managerial quality. Ok let's see.
All the managers who handle liverpool all faced tremendous pressure and suck.
Only rafael benitez did a decent job imo since 1992.

yea he did the decent job by buying so many flops to the sinking ship

Not sure about paying Ah Ken on his termination.
They should have handled the issue more softly like part way due to mutual agreement instead of immediate termination.
Ah Ken dun really deserved that.
After paying so much millions for flops, I dun think Henry believe in paying out huge money in getting Jose and Pep.
As for Ah Ben, he will lay a clause in his contract to compensate him if he is being sacked.
He already earned some money from Liverpool and Inter Milan.
If Henry still stick to the moneyball policy, he should employ Newcastle manager.
Rumours in twitter are saying that KK refused £9m compensation and asked the owner to spend it on players instead..not sure on the authenticity of the tweet though. As for Rafa, he did not receive the full amount..he donated it to the Hillsborough fund...cant remember the amount but he indeed donated a substantial amount...

Torres, Arbeloa, Agger, Skrtel, Mascherano, Benayoun, Alonso, Luis Garcia, Riera, Kyrgiakos (less than a million), Johnson, Lucas...all are good players for less than 20m...
No manager will not have perfect signings..look at Alex Ferguson...he did have a good eye for talent but he did sign wrong player as well...
the most important thing for Liverpool is to hire high profile manager to attract world class player...Martinez and Rodgers wont be able to do that unfortunately...someone has to advise the owner that he is managing a football team, not baseball..
Free agent: Mohamed Diame nearly made a move to Anfield
Out-of-contract Wigan midfielder Mohamed Diame says Kenny Dalglish's sacking as Liverpool manager scuppered a potential move to Anfield.
The 24-year-old Senegal international claims he held talks with the Scot prior to his dismissal by owners Fenway Sports Group.
There could be an outside chance of a deal being resurrected should Latics boss Roberto Martinez be appointed to succeed Dalglish, but Diame is currently looking elsewhere, although his preference is to remain in the Barclays Premier League.
Martinez is expected to hold more talks with FSG soon, having returned from holiday on Tuesday.
'I met before Kenny Dalglish and we talked about next season but God decided to finish this situation,' Diame told Sky Sports News.
'It is true I was very sad in my head as I was thinking to go there but that is OK as I think I have got other opportunities to go to another club.
'I am free and not everybody is free in this moment like a midfield player like me and that is why I have got a lot of clubs interested in me.
Shown the door: Kenny Dalglish was booted out
'I have to be composed and make a good decision for my future.
'I have got some offers from Spain, from France, from Turkey, but I really want to stay in the Premier League.'
