FA Cup Semi-final
Martin Skrtel was given the all-clear to play in Saturday's FA Cup semi-final after a probe by disciplinary chiefs.
Blackburn boss Steve Kean accused the Liverpool defender of assaulting Rovers' Grant Hanley in the build-up to Andy Carroll's injury-time winner on Tuesday.
Kean's comments alerted FA beaks to the incident and all available video of the clash has been studied.
Had Skrtel been deemed to have punched or slapped Hanley, he would have faced a three-game ban, starting with the Wembley clash with Everton, for which Liverpool are already without first-choice goalkeeper Pepe Reina and his back-up Alexander Doni through suspension.
But with the footage deemed not to make a clear-cut case against Skrtel, the case was dismissed without even referee Anthony Taylor being asked for his observations.

i hope everton win the FA cup. its been decades since they last won anything.
1995 last won the cup when they beat united 1-0.
in the 80s they were winning trophies. the tap ran dry in the late 80s, until the 1995 fa cup win. since then they did not win anything.
Liverpool have appealed against stand-in goalkeeper Doni's red card at Blackburn - in a bid to free him to play in the FA Cup semi-final.
Manager Kenny Dalglish declined to answer questions about the Brazilian's dismissal after the 3-2 win at Ewood Park on Tuesday.
Doni's red card, for bringing down Junior Hoillett, seemed a clear-cut decision by referee Anthony Taylor.
It was only the South American's second start as the replacement for Pepe Reina, serving a three-game ban which will be completed against Everton for butting Newcastle's James Perch.
But in what appears a sign of doubt over Aussie third-string Brad Jones - who conceded another spot-kick in a nervy display after coming on - Dalglish sanctioned an appeal in a bid to over-turn the sending off.
Will be rooting for Everton. David Moyes deserves it!

The striker saw red for handling on the line in the last minute of the 2010 quarter-final with Ghana.
It helped Uruguay reach the last four — and Liverpool striker Suarez says he would employ the same tactics in the FA Cup semi with Everton.
He said: “The sacrifice I made was because it was so important for Uruguay to make the semi-finals.”
“Now I want to win this semi-final.”
And he is ready to ‘take one for the team’ again to do so.
He added: “It will take an enormous effort but I am dedicated to the team.
“If I am obliged to stop a ball in the last minute and we win, then I will repeat the action.
“Success for Liverpool is more important to me than anything else.
“But I do hope there is no drama like this for me... ”

David Moyes believes the entire UK is behind his Everton side’s bid to humble their rich neighbours Liverpool at Wembley.
The Blues' boss is convinced viewers without an allegiance to either team in Saturday's FA Cup semi-final will be rooting for his men, because the Toffees have built a team rather than splurging £100million-plus on new faces as their Merseyside neighbours have done.
“The neutral would want Everton to win,” he insisted.
Bookies make Liverpool slight favourites for the game between two clubs who are worlds apart in terms of money, with the Reds boasting a wage bill double that of their rivals and a record of transfer spending that's on a different planet.
Moyes though, believes that buying power puts everyone outside the red half of the city on his side.
“The neutrals look at Everton and see the way we have tried to build the club, tried to develop the team gives hope to many other clubs," added the Scot.
“It has been done with real hard graft. It has taken a real period of time - that’s why we have not been in enough semi-finals and finals. It may not be the right way, but it’s our way and they appreciate it.”
What remains unspoken in Moyes’ suggestion is the fact many neutrals are turned off by the brusque, challenging nature of Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish.
Dalglish won few new friends during the long-running Luis Suarez racism row, and in recent days his attempt at mind games – he piled pressure on semi-final ref Howard Webb by saying some may feel there's a conspiracy amongst officials against his side – have drawn scorn from rival supporters.
Moyes though, has refused to be drawn into his opposite number’s political wranglings.
He insists he has complete faith in Webb, who reffed the 2010 World Cup Final, to rise above such obvious pressure.
“A similar thing happened before the first derby game this season, when we got a player sent off – but we are not going to get embroiled in that,” Moyes insisted.
“We have to go with the integrity of the referee, which we will do.
"If it’s happening from Liverpool then, that would be for the FA to decide if that’s the case or not. It’s not for us.
"We will trust Howard Webb’s judgement.”
