Best of enemies: Wayne Rooney tweeted a picture of him on holiday with Andy Carroll, and the message, 'Me and big andy [sic] Carroll chilling at the bar oooossssshhhhh'
Lads on tour: Wayne Rooney and Andy Carroll were joined by former Scotland international Gary McAllister in Barbados
Wayne Rooney, born and raised Evertonian and superstar striker for Manchester United. He is the perfect storm of hatred for Liverpool fans. Funny then, to see the England man enjoying a beach holiday with none other than new Kop idol, Andy Carroll.
The pair are enjoying some well-earned rest at the luxurious Sandy Lane resort in Barbados after a season of physical and emotional highs and lows.
Rooney - who wore a heat for much of the time he was on the beach - endured a torrid early season in terms of form and fitness, and famously held to United to ransom over his future before coming good at the business end and getting the goals that fired United to a record breaking 19th title.
Carroll, conversely hit the ground running in his first season in the Premier League, before being sold for a King's ransom to Liverpool in January, after which injury disrupted his campaign.
But if anywhere is going to give him the rest and recuperation the former Newcastle man needs, it is the Caribbean.

Wayne, wife Colleen and son Kai, all of whom were on the trip, have been fond of Barbados for years and built a £5million house on the island's 500-acre Royal Westmoreland development last year.
The six bedroom villa comes with an infinity pool and breathtaking sea views from the bedroom, and the living room areas.
Other familiar celebrity faces with holiday homes on Barbados includes ex-boxing champion Joe Calzaghe, Wayne's team-mate Rio Ferdinand, Gary Lineker, cricketer Freddie Flintoff, and TV hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
Rooney later tweeted a picture of him and Carroll, with the message, 'Me and big andy [sic] Carroll chilling at the bar oooossssshhhhh'
Joining the two footballers who are both in fine shape, was Aston Villa caretaker boss Gary McAllister who wasn't showing off his beach body in quite the same way.
