CAN YOU SUPER 8?
What makes Super 8 such an attraction for short films, music videos and even commercials in this digital age?
Created as a home-video device, Super 8 is now a filmmaking format that has achieved cult status. More than an alternative to 16mm and 35mm film, Super 8 film creates a filmic aesthetic like no other.
JOIN US FOR THE SUPER-8 FILMMAKING WORKSHOP AND SCREENING!
SCREENINGS: flicker short films
Flicker is a non-commercial grassroots entity perpetuated by Super-8 filmmakers and filmgoers. The original underground filmmaking Flicker concept was developed in the 1980s in Georgia. In the early 1990s, the second Flicker was founded in North Carolina. Since then, Flickers across the world have popped up all the way from Los Angeles to Prague, and everywhere in between. Join us and experience the magic and simplicity of a good story told by the old-fashioned celluloid way.
Expect short films that go against the grain of the commercialism of Hollywood in this screening. More details can be found on www.flickerla.com.
