scars that don't quite heal

  i have some mosquito bites that just turn black after a while and they usually stay for a long time. some small cuts or abrasions close quickly, but they also leave a blackish mark. why does this happen? how can i get rid of them?

  You mean the place where the wound was turns dark after the wound heals, right?
  
  This is normal, some people are prone to this. The tissue changes colour during the healing process, the new skin is thinner. After some time the pigments disappear and the skin regenerates.

  Try vitamin E cream and try not to scratch the mosquito bites - scratching will cause scars no matter how much vitamin E u apply .
  
  There is a cream I cannot remember what's the name but it is good for covering potential scars ( before it happens) Mederma ( if I am not wrong) - some plastic surgeons use it.
  
  If all fails , go for a tan . I don't think you want to do chemical/surgical derma-abrasion - it is too costly and painful .
  
  The darkish marks will fade over time - so no worries about it . Took my chicken pox scars to fade over 4 years.

  LOL, tanning no use. My chicken pox are visible despite tanning. BCG scar also. Mosquito scars quite ok lah. Because I'm quite dark, and the scar is quite dark also, blend together lor.
