LOL, never measured that. But bigger head no relationship with why she can't reach the things I can reach?Originally posted by oxford mushroom:So it is as I suspected then Her height is contributed mainly by the head and neck...perhaps she has a longer neck and bigger head?
As you said, "My sister's length of the body below her right arm to the toes are shorter than me... ". Unless her arm span is much longer than yours, her effective reach (length of body below the arm + arm span) may be less than yours. Hence she cannot reach the things you can although she is taller because of a possibly longer neck and bigger headOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:LOL, never measured that. Any differences in what they study other than the prescribing medication part?Originally posted by oxford mushroom:A psychiatrist is a medical doctor, a psychologist is not. Psychiatrists can prescribe medication, psychologists cannot. I'll leave it to others to add to the list of differences as an fun exercise....

Originally posted by NightRoad:Virtual Clinic v4 has some advices on panic attacks. You can look through it. The first few pages.
hi all, i posted a thread about panic attacks and was refered to here by alfagal
When and where does your panic attack happens?
-it happens whenever there are situations like when i'm in a small enclosed area wif ppl
-public speaking or presentations
-meeting with strangers such as job interviews
Describe your typical panic attack.
-when it happens, i would feel breathless as if theres lack of oxygen and my heart would beat so fast as if its out of control and also i would sweat as if its from a faulty tap...thats about it
Why does it happen? What triggers it?
-I have no idea what triggers it and why, the only i can think of is the sweating thing which caused embarrassment and also me being easily nervous when it comes to new situations which i have to face
Does it affect your day-to-day functions? eg. sch, work or social basis
-it doesnt affect me on my overall daily functions but only on the sweating part because its kinda embarrassed to be sweating when you're in an aircon room meeting ppl or talking to them.
if theres a medication that helps to stop the sweating issue, i guess theres no issue about the panic attack
Have you seeked medical help before?
-Nope on panic attacks but i once consulted a psycharist on depression but was told by him that i'm not suffering from it and i'm normal so need not continue seeing him
Hope some kind souls would advise me on how to seek treatment or some advises on it....thanks
