SPECIAL MYSTERY QUESTION
Breathing through the mouth will lead to dryness at the back of your throat. Do this continuously over a period of time and you will develop a sore throat.
Can you explain this phenomenon?
sorry edited..Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Because the air is dry.
Good, now what is the advantage of breathing through the nose? Why don't you get sore throat through that process?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Because the air is dry.
Moisture. Moisture helps to soothe the throat. So that's why we suck lozenges, it will cause more saliva to be produced. The saliva produced will "coat" the throat, sootheing it.Originally posted by renorenal:Good, now what is the advantage of breathing through the nose? Yeah... it's termed humidification and filtering of air... that's the function of our nose...Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Moisture. Moisture helps to soothe the throat. I am angled outside in
I sit on top of both the lungs
I always break outwards
Never inwards
As I am designed that way
A lot of muscles pull onto me
If I do break
The whole of the arm affected
Will go wimpy
What am I?
