When docs say its nothing..do they really mean that?

last week, i went to polyclinice to see doc for my rash..at the same time i ask bout the bony lumps on my skull, she feel abit n said its nothing..never even check further..should i believe? i been to other docs n they also said its not a prob,,,
n also doc ren u said its nothing serious rite? but does stiffness of neck and occasional pain related to it? or is it just common symptoms.. -
its probably just common symptoms that do not require extra medical attention.

When docs say "It's nothing." they usually mean that it won't kill you or make you any complications. I don't want to scare you. If more the one doc sayd it's nothing serious, then it shouldn't be serious.
Stiffness of the neck and occational pain can have more reasons, usually wrong posture when you are sitting or sleeping, wrong posture of the cervical spine or also tension through stress.
Have you seen an orthopaedist?
Is the accational pain in your neck or also headache? When do the stiffness and pain usually occur?
(don't worry, I have it too, many people have stiffness of the neck and even headaches from this reason) -
seek a second opinion if you are worried. you never know.

alot of illness comes from insensitive doctors or ignorant GPs....
be careful, cuz she's not a specialist. ...in fact many disease such as cancer or what like pneumonia etc all started cuz GPs are not vigilent enough.

Pain and stiffness of the neck may result if the lump is big enough or uneven enough to have encroached onto one of your cervical nerve sitting and jutting out from the upper neck region (C2 and C3). The skull X ray will rule out any possibility of lumps that are depressed into the skull, which may coompress on the meningis and causes pain without any external pressure (if you have this problem that is).
Most patients are curious, and this is often encouraged as they will be more aware of their problems, but not over-aware, hence seeking treatment in future at an earlier stage which enhances the medical or surgical intervention which may be fatal if detected late.
When doctors say there is no problem, it means that it is not going to affect any of your quality of life (QOL) or your activity of daily living (ADL) in anyway. -
