NEW MYSTERY
Urine in the morning is especially dark yellowish, do you know why?
If you know the answer to the first part, do you know why the body has to do this?
QED right?Originally posted by heavenscloud:http://www.sgforums.com/?action=thread_display&thread_id=164524
Do you know that our kidneys concentrates urine at night while we sleep. This is so since we don't drink any water at night, and by that the kidney conserves the remaining water that passes through it making the production of urine highly concentrated and extremely yellowish.

NEW MYSTERY
How come when you feel an itch at a certain spot, you cannot relieve it by scratching there? Instead you have to scratch another spot?
got such thing as pseudo-itch ah??Originally posted by alfagal:e area of skin tat is most sensitive to touch is, the lips, mouth, followed by ur hands...(therefore you gain a lot of pleasure from eating!)
other than tat, other areas of ur skin is not tat sensitive, eg compare it w your heels, u can feel things better with ur fingers, esp fingertips.
so if u have an itch in an area that is not in acute in its senses, may it b temperature, pressure, itch or pain, the brain can mistaken it as another area, but cant b too far from wrong...usually e area of itch n e area u scratch is quite near each other...
therefore by scratchin the pseudo-itch, it seems to relief your real itch...
hope i m talking sense here...
jus invented it..u understand can liaoz.Originally posted by heavenscloud:got such thing as pseudo-itch ah??

Disinhibition (As a result of the impairment of functions controlled by the frontal lobe)?Originally posted by renorenal:SPECIAL MYSTERY QUESTION
85 year old lady perfectly fine in the morning started shouting aggressively after dinner claiming that she has to go to the market and then off to work in the law firm (she was a great lawyer before she retired). The nurses taking care of her was not surprised with her as they are used to her being like this everday. She was known to have Dementia of Alzheimer's Type in the late 70s and aside from that, had other chronic ill health where she was given medications.
Do you know what is this sudden aggressiveness known as?
Yes.. you are right... it's the most common presentation of most patients... aside from increased thirst, passing urine at night, passing out more than the usual amount and frequency in the morning and increase in appetite...Originally posted by Kuali Baba:You've got glucose in your pee! Diabetes!
The stem cells in the bone marrow undergo differentiation. O-level biologyOriginally posted by renorenal:NEW MYSTERY
Under normal condition, blood cells come out from certain bones. Do you know how does the bone do this?
Not really... that would be permanent, and occur throughout the day, this one is only in the evening... Good try though!Originally posted by Kuali Baba:Disinhibition (As a result of the impairment of functions controlled by the frontal lobe)?
Precisely! You've got this one right as well! The bone marrow is located in the bone (the diaphysis and some in the metaphysis) and has it's primary function of churning out blood cells. Bone marrow biopsy is commonly taken from the pelvic bone (the iliac spine).Originally posted by Kuali Baba:The stem cells in the bone marrow undergo differentiation. (O-level biology ops
