But hor, you are right. It's just like dengue fever, just contract all 4 versions of dengue and you will be immuned. But the probability that you will come out alive from the hospital is reduced because there's an increase chance of it becoming a DHF (don't know how to spell so put short form) -

DSS is a complication of DHF... when you lose excessive blood due to hemorrhage, you will lose your plasma volume (or the water content to be frank in the body).
