Certain toxins are corrosive... this can be understood if you were to pour acid on an experimental skin, you will see that the tissue corrodes...Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:But I still don't understand how toxins can cause cancer...........
I am not 15. See my profile. My real age is 17. Anyway, I was biology student in secondary school, so understood certain technical terms used, but not those used at tertiary levels. For cancer, I think you are one step too advanced.Originally posted by renorenal:Yeah... we were talking about you... your discussion about the stroke event made me think that you were quite interested in medical field, so I thought that you are a biology student... hence I included the technical terms and explained in such a way, one step in advance on that cancer thingy...
Alex said that you were 15?
Oh... coz most of the profiles entered by fellow forumnites can be fake, and it's quite hard to believe...Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:I am not 15. See my profile. My real age is 17. But the toxins in our body that accumulates from poop is not that strong as acid, however, it takes time to corrode into the tissue...
Since it is slow, it allows the cells to regenerate and repair the damage, but such continuous repair can cause error (a man working for more than 48 hours without rest is bound to do something wrong)...
Goody goody. Can learn more things.Originally posted by renorenal:Oh... coz most of the profiles entered by fellow forumnites can be fake, and it's quite hard to believe...
Ok then... now I know your age and qualification, allow me to turn my frequency to tune to your channel
oi, she is underage.. dont break the law Mr!Originally posted by renorenal:Oh... coz most of the profiles entered by fellow forumnites can be fake, and it's quite hard to believe...

No lar dude... you know what is continuous means ar?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Oh....
So continuous repair can cause an error which makes the cells reproduce abnormally. Therefore, if a person falls easily and scrapped his skin most of the time, he will get skin cancer? Because cells are continuously being damaged and repaired.

Like that the person pathetic. Fall every second. Then falling from parachute counted?Originally posted by renorenal:No lar dude... you know what is continuous means ar?
It means there is no rest at all... every second every minute there is corrosion and harm, furthermore, these toxins don't go well with the body's chemical, it poisons them...
You have to fall down every single second to do that...
No lar... aiyor... now you sound like 10 years oldOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Like that the person pathetic. Fall every second. Then falling from parachute counted?
LOL, I nothing to ask, so ask stupid questions.Originally posted by renorenal:No lar... aiyor... now you sound like 10 years old
It's in terms of compatibility... some are less severe because the human's immune system can go against it, some new strains are stronger because the body has not met it before, and when the first time they meet each other, a blind battle will start, and either side have a 50-50 chance of winining...Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:LOL, I nothing to ask, so ask stupid questions.
Now I will ask serious questions. Today ChannelNewsAsia ask a doctor to talk more about bird flu. They are talking about H and N strains. What do they mean? Why is it some strains are less severe? Is it due to the genetic coding of the virus?
Thanks...Originally posted by alfagal:my dear gal, maybe u would like to read more on how cells replicate? from DNA and using RNA and stuff, then u will understand what dr reno is talking about..how bout hanging on for awhile, i look at some sites for ur reference?
okie i got it
the cell and its replication walkthrough
aiyo tis doc..how can u put her down liddat? need go do course on Being Tactful 101Originally posted by renorenal:No lar... aiyor... now you sound like 10 years old

But with mutation and all, the bug may become too strong, being resistant to antibiotics and the human's immune system and once it defeats them, they take control over the body and start to divide and become more (just like AIDS)... The continuous mutation is called 'antigen drift'...
If a battle is fought against a common bug (which once infected the person making him ill, but he recover and develop antibodies to protect him from future battles), the battle is a sure win for the human body...

LOL, not homework. Asking questions which books are not able to tell me and Internet research which yields no results. Anyway, not studying in medicine field, so not asking for help. Will be honest with you if I am asking for help.Originally posted by alexkusu:seem like ur askin for help for homework eh
I answered you the severity and the genetic coding (antigenic drift theory) thingie liau rite?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Still haven't answer my questions yet.......

The name H5N1 refers to the subtypes of surface antigens present on the virus: hemagglutinin type 5 and neuraminidase type 1 (H5N1)... excerpt from Wikipedia...
I can't tell you anymore detail, have to refer this to a microbiologist who's interest is in the field of virology, after all, I'm just a house officer...
I can give you this link though:-
