oh..so i guess im not the only one thinking along the same line.. initially my goal was to develop a cure for cancer.. maybe win a nobel prize or two. But suddenly i had an epiphany. That people who took my cancer cure are breeding grounds for a new superbug which will wipe out 97% of the world's population...Originally posted by renorenal:Indeed that has been quite a thought for a while... but the cancer cells regenerate at a faster rate than normal and won't stop even though you try to reduce its rate... the only way is by killing it, which at all means, leaving a gap in the center where no healing will ever occur again...
There was a Chinese movie on this description, where a doctor implanted cancer cells into the human body and all of them became younger only to die out in several weeks time because their body cannot cope with the speed of growth. They even gained superhuman powers...
true true...Originally posted by alexkusu:oh..so i guess im not the only one thinking along the same line.. initially my goal was to develop a cure for cancer.. maybe win a nobel prize or two. hence, i changed my focus into food...its safer..
ironic isnt it? people searching for a cure, people who have potential to find the cure are discouraged from doing so. The ironies of life... so sayeth MeOriginally posted by renorenal:true true...
Then why they must make the Yakult or Vitagen so sweet????Originally posted by renorenal:Such dairy products helps to boost the protective lining of the gut wall if I am not wrong... but I will suggest taking high fibers such as oatmeals, vegetables of certain sort (you may want to check up with a dietitian) and fruit-juices, and oh yeah do try to reduce your weight, if you are overweight.
to encourage little kids to eat it..get them while they're youngOriginally posted by gorby107:Then why they must make the Yakult or Vitagen so sweet????
like that not good for health
Now Vitagen one have less sugar and te healthier choice logo
I recommend you the show Daddy Day Care (Eddie Murphy) and you will see why companies make it so sweetOriginally posted by gorby107:Then why they must make the Yakult or Vitagen so sweet????

Cancer starts when there is continuous damage to the cell lining or epithelial wall, and continuous regeneration of the wall with new cells may lead to errors in genetic replication. The toxins starts off by damaging the gut wall if the condition is left long enough for it to happen.
If I can remember correctly, the term is metaplasia which is the term used when specialized cells formation are changed to simple cells formation since the reproduction rates have to match that of damaging rates. Forming specialized cells take a rather longer time than simple cells formation. Once this is prolonged, dysplasia steps in whereby the cells that are formed are abnormal (certain characteristic seen are dyskariosis, enlarged nucleus, hyperchromatin and increased mitochondrial activities). When this is not intervened, it becomes neoplastic (cancerous)...
oxford mushroom may want to elaborate more on this, on the pathogenesis of cancer.
I shall let oxford mushroom explain it to you... mean time, try to read the text again slowly...Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Don't understand.
shld have put it in layman terms in e first placeOriginally posted by renorenal:I shall let oxford mushroom explain it to you... mean time, try to read the text again slowly...
It's a pattern of progression, any insult to any tissues CONTINUOUSLY will lead to a normal response of regeneration and repair, but with all repair, one need to know that there can be ERRORS in REPLICATION and when this do, different types or UNWANTED cells get produced to replaced the native cells.
These unwanted cells may have the CAPABILITY to regenerate and grow faster than you think, and can at times form a mass or burst and form an ulcer.
It's not that hard to understand... I've tried to explain mostly in simple terms, its only the description in brackets which are rather technical...Originally posted by alfagal:shld have put it in layman terms in e first place
oxford and I have to workOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Is clinic closed for the day? Nobody is replying....
she meat ur explanation here:Originally posted by renorenal:It's not that hard to understand... I've tried to explain mostly in simple terms, its only the description in brackets which are rather technical...
But I will leave it for oxford lar... it's his field...
so clever alex..yeah here abit cheem..anyway yeah see wat oxford can do...Originally posted by alexkusu:she meat ur explanation here:

whats this epithelial, this metaplasia, this dysplasia, etc.. some patients may not be science or biology students so they would be clueless ma.
btw, ur explanation later was better..but can be improve upon

hey wat meat la..
Maybe I should say "explain it so a 15year old can understand without being confused". Btw reno, to ur credit ur a smart guy, but i think u make a lousy teacherOriginally posted by renorenal:Aiyar... look at the bolded words... the meanings are there... but I doubt they managed to pick it up... anywayz... leave this to oxford...
Hahaha... I didn't know she was 15... she didn't provide me with her age, so I assume that she was a bio student (look up several threads on the discussion of stroke and you will know what I mean)...Originally posted by alexkusu:Maybe I should say "explain it so a 15year old can understand without being confused". she is (edited) years oldOriginally posted by renorenal:Hahaha... I didn't know she was 15... she didn't provide me with her age, so I assume that she was a bio student (look up several threads on the discussion of stroke and you will know what I mean)...
My explanation was rather cheem, and she seems that she could take it, so...
Nope... I didn't assume her age...Originally posted by alexkusu:she is (edited) years old
kenot simply assume one..people die from doctors wrong assumptions u know!
