Family members are definitely present with patient. So can ask from family members. Family members don't know, find the patient's records in the hospital's database. Hospital's database crashed... nothing to do. Wait for CT scan results to administer the right drugs. In the mean time, do blood glucose test, test for high blood pressure and all the health risks.Originally posted by renorenal:Yes, I can see that... and that is how it is practised in Malaysia, so far the results are quite good, and we faced minimal complications after that.
Now, what if the patient is too unconscious to get a history from...
This is a condition of haemorrhoids or otherwise best known as piles...

The Lump is it like pimple???Originally posted by renorenal:This is a condition of haemorrhoids or otherwise best known as piles...
I did described this not long ago...
But anywayz... did you noticed a lump coming out from your backside after you poop?
It comes out from your anus after you poop and then usually if it is in the early stage, it will go right back in... It is actually a soft lump comprising of blood vessels.Originally posted by gorby107:The Lump is it like pimple???
Come out from the backside or inside one???
I don't think soOriginally posted by renorenal:It comes out from your anus after you poop and then usually if it is in the early stage, it will go right back in... It is actually a soft lump comprising of blood vessels.
Not bad for myself. (pats myself)Originally posted by renorenal:There you are, you are beginning to sound more like a clinical student...
All of these cannot be learned from the books, as you can see my point earlier on, it requires thinking such as what you have typed...
Read from newspaper that your dark stools is not a sign of colon cancer. If I never remember wrongly, a change in toilet habits is a sign of colon cancer. For example, you used to have constipation, and nowadays, you are having diarrhoea.Originally posted by gorby107:I don't think so
But sometimes I poop the stool is dark in colour!
I am doubt of getting colon cancer???
Is this serious a not?
Heard from my HE Teacher that colon cancer can damage your other organ if not treated?
Then should I eat more fibre food?
Vitagen?

Don't know correct or not. Dr Renorenal knows better.
You should be a doctor in the future... Most of the clinica students we have transfer knowledge from books, not on sole experience in the ward settings, that's why we often have problems with them...Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Not bad for myself. (pats myself)
I don't think I got do any thinking when I write this answer. I wrote based on common sense and what I have learned from you. Can open my own clinic liao (just kidding, I don't have license and I don't want to kill people)
Oh I seeOriginally posted by renorenal:This is known as alteration of bowel habits (ABH) and colon cancer strikes those above 60 years old... unless yours is a familial cause whereby there at least one family member who has this problem at a very young age.

Perhaps it has become your habit to retain feces for a long period of time before you poop. Anywayz, if this is a problem, you should get a prescription for some laxatives to pass out... you can get it over the counter in the pharmacy or from your GP... but I prefer if you get it from your GP coz then you can get a full consultation and an examination...Originally posted by gorby107:Oh I see
Thanks a lot
But I eat a lot of vegetables everyday
but why constipation still happened????

Drink not enough water? I eat a lot of vegetables and fruits, but if that day never drink enough water, will cause constipation.Originally posted by gorby107:Oh I see

If you retain in long enough (anal shutdown, my own term lar ya ), this will create a super nice environment for the bacteria that stays in your gut and they will start to colonize and reproduce more, giving you a heck of a hard time...Originally posted by gorby107:Oh.... Ok......
I understand already
If you remain your faeces in your rectum for a long time and not poop
What will happen then?
So drink Vitagen/Yakult to solve this problem???Originally posted by renorenal:If you retain in long enough (anal shutdown, my own term lar ya ), this will create a super nice environment for the bacteria that stays in your gut and they will start to colonize and reproduce more, giving you a heck of a hard time...
Constipation in long run can lead to cancer because of toxin accumulation which absorbs into the blood vessels and to the entire body.
Cancer not the abnormal growth of cells?Originally posted by renorenal:If you retain in long enough (anal shutdown, my own term lar ya ), this will create a super nice environment for the bacteria that stays in your gut and they will start to colonize and reproduce more, giving you a heck of a hard time...

Such dairy products helps to boost the protective lining of the gut wall if I am not wrong... but I will suggest taking high fibers such as oatmeals, vegetables of certain sort (you may want to check up with a dietitian) and fruit-juices, and oh yeah do try to reduce your weight, if you are overweight.Originally posted by gorby107:So drink Vitagen/Yakult to solve this problem???
Cancer starts when there is continuous damage to the cell lining or epithelial wall, and continuous regeneration of the wall with new cells may lead to errors in genetic replication. The toxins starts off by damaging the gut wall if the condition is left long enough for it to happen.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Cancer not the abnormal growth of cells?
Toxin accumulation also cause cancer?
eh, dont say cancer liddat..to me, its called immortality cell. Now if you can harness the mechanims of it, you can live forever..maybe..Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Cancer not the abnormal growth of cells?

Indeed that has been quite a thought for a while... but the cancer cells regenerate at a faster rate than normal and won't stop even though you try to reduce its rate... the only way is by killing it, which at all means, leaving a gap in the center where no healing will ever occur again...Originally posted by alexkusu:eh, dont say cancer liddat..to me, its called immortality cell. well, how bout younger looking skin?
