We refer to your feedback of 2 April 2012.
Although bus stops are meant for public bus services, we will allow private bus services to use the bus stop if there is enough capacity to perform immediate alighting and/or boarding of passengers. However, the bus operators would require prior approval from LTA to use the bus stops. They are also not allowed to hog and wait for any other purpose.
Nevertheless, we will monitor the situation and take enforcement action against any vehicle(s) if found parking within 9 metres of bus bays. For assistance on illegal parking matters, please call LTA's hotline at 1800-2255-582 (1800-CALL-LTA).

Message : I would like to know if private buses are allowed in the bus
top.I ask this as I saw 5-6 private buses during the evening (6-7pm) or
early morning (8-9am) at the bus outside clementi mrt station (beside
Clementi mall).
They parked there which had caused significant jams there especially
public buses.
This incident had occurred so long and it had not been resolved.I hope to
hear from your response soon. -

Dear Mr Suggestion on Service 96 We refer to your feedback on the above mentioned.
As there are the schools located along Clementi Avenue 1, there is a tendancy for vehicles to stop/park along this road to drop off/pick up students. This will in turn hinder bus operations. In addition, rerouting Service 96 to ply Clementi Avenue 1 will also result in skipping two bus stops along the current route towards Clementi MRT Station, adversely affecting existing passengers who are using this service.
Rest assured that we have duly noted your feedback and as Land Transport Authority (LTA) has taken over central planning of the bus network, we will continue to work closely with them and review your suggestion when deemed viable.

Feedback on Service 30
Please refer to your feedback on Service 30.
We truly regret to learn of your unpleasant experience while using the service.
Our checks revealed that on 28 March's morning, due to adverse traffic condition caused by heavy vehicle breakdown along the road, the operation of many services, including Services 30, 51 and 143, were affected. As a result, the waiting time at bus stops for these services were prolonged.
Regarding your enquiry if private buses to be allowed at bus stops, we wish to take this opportunity to share with you that the bus stops are provided by LTA for use by public transport buses to conduct passenger activity. No vehicle, including private bus, is allowed to park at the bus stops or near the bus stops. You may wish to feedback to LTA if witnessed private buses or other vehicles parked at the bus stops or near the bus stops for their enforcement actions.
