So many pop music selections, Why not rock?

  hey there are so many pop selections like the Channel U's Super star, Sg idol and stuffs. Why no rock one??? i wan see how rock music scene in sg doing and i think it will Boost singapore's rock scene up if one is held. and talents scouted too. wad do u people think

  there are plenty of local chinese rock bands out there which are very good. they are original and have their own singing identity. Hope the radio can showcase them someday.

  Straits times recently had the school battle of the bands so there's still something here. also power 98 also abt to hold a band competition.
  
  Singapore has some good bands like ronin, electrico, pug jelly, the observatory
