  meet people and converse with them... be "thick skinned" a bit...
  
  it's hard at first but it gets easier with time...
  
  you can try with the various outings being organised in the forums... just meet people, and talk to them.. they're friendly people

  If u are in school, sign up for speech & drama, boost your confidence in speaking in public, u will become less shy or choose a team CCA like choir, basketball, dance where u get to interact with lots of pple.
  
  If u are working, sign up for volunteer/ sports activities organised by community ctr., church etc
