been there last skool holiday. we went to the hill top that overlook the back of the forbidden city. It gives me the sad and lonely feeling for those who lived there.

Interest information regarding the forbidden city. According to the tour guide.
Forbidden city was built in accordance to the feng shui formation. It had its building in accordance to the five element. The center structure of was shape to a "tu" formation. A river was dug across the palace to represent the river across. There were 2 "dragons" represented by the road and river. Due to the demise of the "tu" dragon, the Ching dynasty also demised. With the death of the "tu" dragons, the new government centre was built on the water dragon beside the forbidden city.
According to the story, Chairman Mao wanted to enter the forbidden city. but before he could enter, he tripped and nearly fall. The caretaker stopped him from entering telling him that he "the little dragon" (born in the year of snake) was not allowed otherwise misfortune will befall him. It was said that he never step foot to the forbidden city during his lifetime.
