  I watched all 26 episodes of the anime in one sitting.
  
  Favourite character: Hashiba Miki
  Felt saddest for: Sakurai Honoka
  Most irritated by : Yamato
  
  One of the more heart-strings tugging anime I have watched. An emotional rollercoaster ride at times. Probably cause I could relate to some of the feelings the characters were feeling. Felt especially sad when Hodoka said *You do not know how it feels when you see someone you love being snatched away from you!"
  
  Anyway, hope others will like it.
  
  Are there any recommended animes that are of this genre?

  Read the manga, sibei sianz out, but finished in the end.
  
  To sum it up, sports > quarrels > love love scene > sports > quarrels > sports > separation > pregnancy > marriage > end.

  The animé, unfortunately, suffered from extremely inconsistent animation quality and character designs. Viewing several episodes at one sitting gave the impression that the individual episodes were animated by different studios that weren't communicating with each other and/or the production company.

  Hmm... Last weekend, I saw 2 full sets (vol 1 to 18 i think) of Suzuka manga (english trans) in Borders at about $23 per vol.

  Hmm.. at least 23, max 29, coz I dont remember seeing $30+ for the manga series they were selling.
  
  The RRP in USD is 9.95.
  
  lets say an average price of S$25 per volume. To buy all 18 pieces, 450 dollars leh...
