  just finish watching the movie. personally i felt that the animation pales as compared to the TV anime, me must prefer kyoani's visual style.

  no love for fuko and kotomi in the movie. fuko didn't even appear.

  fans of nagisa will probably like the movie.

  not as captivating and touching as the tv anime (the fuko and kotomi arc really moved me to tears).

  i don't like the character design as well. the loud facial expressions kinda put me off. and kyou looks funny. >.<

  and the seiyuu for okazaki is different as well.

  i was surprised okazaki wasn't surprised that nagisa's play was about the same dream he's having.

  not like in the movie he was so shocked he immediately confessed his love for nagisa after the play.

  Well, the movie is the compressed version of the anime. So the 3rd quarter of the movie (where something happened) could happen if there is a second season.

  disagree that the movie is a compressed version of the anime. i'd say toei wrote a new story coincidentally called clannad, starring characters coindentally named nagisa and tomoya. :(

  The anime is made by 京都アニメーション, the same company that made Suzumiya Haruhi. The movie came out before the anime.

  But well kyou did asked tomoya to kiss her as a "practise" in case tomoya screwed up the kissing part with ryou.Even after considering all the efforts she put in to patch tomoya and ryou together,she still did that.

  Its damm painful to read through her path lahz.Especially the part when the sisters passed by each other like they are strangers.
