Black Lagoon/Black Lagoon - The Second Barrage ain't perfect but man.... it's a top draw for me.
It is not exactly smooth storytelling from one episode to another but each one has character...each has a story to tell.
BL has loads of gun fighting scenes and while some of them are rather exaggerated (sometimes, u think when they will ran out of bullets), some of them have good execution, flow and sometimes stylistic. Slo-mos are included. hahaha.
If u looked into some of the details in BL.. they made many cultural references from famous ppl.. products, movies and past famous events. Look at the logos of the beer they consumed. How the Russian crime syndicate Hotel Moscow came about in the anime. If u wanna know more.. go dig wiki.
If u noticed too.... Yellow Flag, the bar the BL gang frequent... tends to get thrashed to bits whenever they have a drink or two there.
Abt the OST... U can hear bits of Asian influences in it and the songs reflects quite well to that mood/scenerio. It is not something U will pickup..listen to it all over again and again thou. Watch for the Outro scene.. listen to the song. Good stuff.
BL is really something I will watch again and again if time permits.
9 out of 10 for me.
