shown years ago on AXN before as Samurai X.
continue here..
has three movies, one the prelude and another one setting takes place several years down the road from the anime, and the third one is about a rebellion. (thanks to the bear for input)
manga has two specials, which one i totally unfortunately amazingly missed. one is about yahiko, the snorty brat, and the other wraps up the entire manga storyline which takes places several years down the road from the manga, i assume is before wad happens in the movie.
anime ends with a filler arc, while manga ends with the revenge arc, enishi, tomoe's younger bro being the main villain.
from what i heard before, if i remember right, the movie didn't go through the original artist's review.
from one of the commentary in the manga, watsuki, the artist, gave his thoughts on a possible sequel's storyline. kenshin's son, kenji would fight over yahiko's son over his sword and dojo. but this time, kenji would become the bad guy after kenshin gave his sword to yahiko's son instead. and i remember he mentioned shishio's sword mugenjin being used by kenji. woot.
of cuz dats juz casual words.
which never came true.
