Depressing anime

What are some of the saddest, depressing anime/romance anime you have ever watched?
Has anyone tried out Voices of a Distant Star? It's definitely one of the saddest. -
Try Space Runaway Ideon or Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

Spoiler: Voices of a Distant Star is a 26 min DVD about love between a boy and girl separated by space travel.
Though it is a mere 26 min, it is emotionally intense enough to force a tear or two. -
Kenshin OVA is really quite sad. Esp for Kenshin fans.

Grave of the Fireflies
In the latter part of World War II, a boy and his sister, orphaned when their mother is killed in the firebombing of Tokyo, are left to survive on their own in what remains of civilian life in Japan. The plot follows this boy and his sister as they do their best to survive in the Japanese countryside, battling hunger, prejudice, and pride in their own quiet, personal battle. -

Another very sad anime is Saikano...watching it now. Only watched 3 episodes oledi felt like crying le T_T

I dun mind the copying of storyline, but from the way Fukuda waste episode, spending the entire episode 47 on Mia Campbell when the viewer wants action, even the story "can make it" also become CMI liao.
