Yaiba is Gosho Aoyama (the author of Detective Connan)'s comic book debut.
The light-hearted manga is about a young adventuring samurai named Yaiba Kurogane. Yaiba lives with his father, Kenjurou, in the forest. One day, while on a hunting trip, Yaiba and his father were attacked by gorillas and hid inside a box to escape, but they didn't know that the box was going to be transported into the city.
In the city, Yaiba acquire a powerful thunder sword and began his adventures fighting off evil characters, including his arch nemesis Takeshi, a demonic looking high-school student who wield the wind sword.
